On May 19th, the release of a series of research reports bythe Institute of Russian Studies of Heilongjiang University and the academic symposiumwere held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the main building of our university. Nearly 200 leaders, experts, teachers and students fromthe Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, the China Society for Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, the Department of Education of Heilongjiang Province, the Department of Justice of Heilongjiang Province, the Law Society of Heilongjiang Province, the Heilongjiang Academy of Social Sciences, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, and Heilongjiang University attended the meeting. The release conference was presided over by President Wang Jingbo.

The Party Secretary of the university, Chi Baoxu, the Vice President of the Law Society of Heilongjiang Province, Li Ben, the Deputy Director of the Department of Justice of Heilongjiang Province, Liu Yong, the Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Heilongjiang Province, Cheng Shuang, and the Deputy Director of the Eurasian Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Zhang Dong, successively delivered speeches at the release conference. Everyone fully affirmed the construction achievements of the Institute of Russian Studies of Heilongjiang University over the past year or more and the significance of releasing a series of research reports. Subsequently, the leaders, experts, teachers and students present witnessed the official release of the“Analysis Report on Sino-Russian Economic Cooperation (2023)”, the“Research Report on the Development of the Rule of Law in Russia (1991-2023)”, and the“Annual Report on the Development of the Russian Far Eastern Federal District (2023)”.

In the academic discussion session, expert representatives of the writing teams of the three research reports shared the basic contents and main viewpoints of the reports, and expounded the characteristics and value of the research reports. Zhang Ziran, the director of the Economic Growth Theory Research Office of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Feng Xianghui, a researcher from the Institute of Law of the Heilongjiang Academy of Social Sciences, and Ji Zhiye, a researcher from the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, respectively made targeted comments on the content characteristics, practical significance and the direction for further improvement of the research reports. Li Yongquan, the president of the China Society for Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, pointed out in the concluding remarks that the three research reports closely followed the current era theme of Sino-Russian cooperation, used a large amount of first-hand materials, and had very distinct theoretical and application values. The academic discussion was presided over by Ye Qisong, the director of the Center for Russian Language, Literature and Culture Studies of Heilongjiang University.

The "Research Report on the Development of the Rule of Law in Russia (1991-2023)", "Analysis Report on Sino-Russian Economic Cooperation (2023)", and "Annual Report on the Development of the Russian Far Eastern Federal District (2023)" were respectively written collectively by the research forces on Russia in the Law School, the School of Economics and Business Administration, and the Center for Russian Language, Literature and Culture Studies of Heilongjiang University. They are a concentrated display of the latest research results of the Institute of Russian Studies. The release of the reports has greatly enhanced the social influence of the think tank research results of the Institute of Russian Studies of Heilongjiang University.
