In the morning of December 11, the 2024 Annual Convention of the Sino-Russian Language Education University Alliance was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the Main Building of Heilongjiang University.Cao Diefeng, Deputy Director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education, Petrutchak, First Vice-President of Moscow State Linguistic University, Verkhovets, Vice-President of Siberian Federal University, Gusev, Vice-President of Tambov State University, Wang Jingbo, President of Heilongjiang University, Ji Jinbiao, President of Beijing International Studies University, Liu Jianda, Vice-President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Zhang Xuewu, Vice-President of Yanbian University, Yi Yin, Vice-President of Guizhou Normal University, as well as more than 100 representatives from over 30 universities of both China and Russia attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Jing Liqiang, Vice-President of Heilongjiang University.On behalf of the Provincial Department of Education, Cao Diefeng pointed out that this year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Russia diplomatic relations. Expanding humanistic exchanges and cooperation in the field of education between China and Russia is a feature in the history of the development of bilateral relations and has an irreplaceable strategic significance.

It is expected that Heilongjiang University, Moscow State Linguistic University and the universities in the alliance can take the Sino-Russian Language Education University Alliance as an opportunity to collaborate closely, cultivate talents and move forward hand in hand, so as to make greater contributions to the development of Sino-Russian comprehensive strategic cooperation in the new era.

President Wang Jingbo said that the establishment of the Sino-Russian Language Education University Alliance has continuously deepened the cooperation between universities of the two countries in the fields of language teaching and language promotion, built a solid bridge for the youth of the two countries to understand each other and strengthen their friendship, and injected new impetus into the long-term development of the friendly relations between the two countries.

We believe that universities in both countries will continue to promote in-depth cooperation in the field of Sino-Russian language education with a more open mindset and a more practical attitude, and jointly contribute to the development of Sino-Russian language education.

Petruchak, in his speech,emphasized that the establishment of the Sino-Russian Language Education University Alliance willmake contribution tothe members of the alliance to develop academic ties with each other,develop all-dimensional and multi-ranging close cooperation and facilitatelanguage learning and collaboration between China and Russia, in order to achievemutual learning, mutual benefit and win-win situation. Moscow State Language University will warmly welcome all kinds of universities to join the alliance and deepen exchanges and cooperation.

The meeting reviewed and approved the charter of the alliance, and made keynote speeches on developing digital education cooperation, building a new mechanism of Sino-Russian cooperation, improving the training mode of language talents in educational cooperation, via paying attention to the international talents program training, and further changing teachers' teaching concepts under the background of digitalization.

In the afternoon of the same day, seminar on Sino-Russian language education was held at A226, the main building of Heilongjiang University.Representativesfrom colleges and universities had heated discussions on cooperation with Russia, cooperation with China,work concepts of universities alliance in future/advance, Russian education in China and Chinese education in Russiaetc. During the conference, our university signed a cooperation agreement with Siberian Federal University.
