On November 6th, Heilongjiang University hostedthethe Welcome Art Performance for its 2024 Freshmen,"Different Youth, One Young Spirit",in the gymnasium. It also served as the Opening Ceremony of the 37th Campus Culture and Art Festival. A diverse group of over 5,000 attendees gathered together joyfully: university leaders, including Chi Baoxu, Wang Jingbo, Li Junming, Liu Fengying, Yu Wenxiu, and Li Zhuo, heads of relevant functional departments, deputy deans in charge of student affairs from various colleges and schools, counselors, representatives of faculty and international students, and 2024 freshmen. The performance was divided into three chapters:

"Shine on, youth!", "Burn up, youth!", and "Bang away, youth!", which were live-streamed from Heilongjiang University Youth WeChat account.

The evening party kicked off with the song "The Future Style of Youth". And the dauntlessness and innovativeness of young people were exemplified by the rap song "Fight Fire House" and the folk music ensemble "Immoral Sound above Cloud Palace".

The singing "Our Youth is Not Lost" in the form of musical theatre, together withthe wind ensemble "Happy Flute",ignited the entire audience, outlining the vitality and passion of youth.

Professor Liu Dongying and students presented a poetry recital "EncounteringThe Book of Songs", taking the audience on a cultural journey that blends traditional Chinese culture with modern art.

"Bloom", a blend of music, poetry and dancingby the counselor representatives of 2024 freshmen, conveyed love and hope to every audience.

The event featured a variety of performances, including the dance "This is Me", the string ensemble "Shostakovich's Second Waltz", the male quartet rendition of "Joy of Snowflakes", the creative fashion show "Meeting in the City of Music", the music-poetry-dancing performance "Pure Love Just for China", "For You, For Me", an account narrated by the representatives of the Postgraduates Voluntary Teaching Corps of Heilongjiang University, the dance "Harmony in Diversity", the mixed chorus "Прекрасное Далеко" ("The Beautiful Future"), and "I Love You, China". These performances, rich in variety and creativity, captivated the audience with their stunning and unique styles.

The performance concluded with a chorus of "Youth at Heart" by the entire audience. Under the dazzling lights, the passion and emotion of youth burned like undying flames. A warm welcome awaits all the students of Heilongjiang University to meet at the feast of youth next year.
