Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the "Decision on the Ninth Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in higher education institution (Humanities and Social Sciences)" (Education and Social Science [2024] No. 4), and Professor Sun Shufang from Institute of Russian Language of Heilongjiang University, as the lead author, was awarded the third prize forMel’čuk’s Theories on Morphology and Semiotics (Contemporary Linguistics, Issue 1, 2020) .

Heilongjiang University won the Ninth Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in higher education institution of the Ministry of Education, which demonstrates the theoretical and practical achievements in serving the development of the Party and the country. It also reflects our effectiveness in providing scientific research platforms for researchers. It is hoped that all faculty membersatHeilongjiang University will learn from the awardees in terms of pursuing rigorous scholarship, creating excellent works, expounding discourses and argumentation and offering advice and suggestions, and promptly transformingtheseachievements into education, teaching and social services.

Sun Shufang, a level-2 Professor, doctoral supervisor, and postdoctoral cooperative supervisor, engaged in Russian teaching and theoretical research. She is currently a national-level talent, a member of the 8th Disciplinary Review Group of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, a national model teacher, and the leader of the "Modern Russian Theory and Practice Teaching Team", which is the third batch Huang Danian-style teaching teams in national universities. In addition, Sun Shufang is a cultural celebrity in Heilongjiang Province andthetheoretical talent of the "Six Groups of Talents",theexpert enjoying special allowances from the provincial government, the leader of a provincial leading talent echelon, a distinguished professor of "Longjiang Scholars", and the director of the "Northeast Asian Language and Culture Digital Integration and Information Security Laboratory", a key laboratory of philosophy and social sciences in Heilongjiang Province. She is currently the chief editor of the national series of applied undergraduate major series of textbooks and the national series of economic and trade Russian textbooks for colleges and universities. She is also an expert in the publication review of textbooks by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press and an editorial board member of the International Conference Collection onTerminology and Knowledgeat the Russian Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. She led and successfully concluded two National Social Science Fund projects, one sub-project of the National Social Science Fund major project, and two major projects from the Ministry of Education's key research bases. She has received the third prize of the Ninth China Higher Education Scientific Research Excellent Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) (1st place), two first prizes of the provincial social science excellent research results (1st place), and the first prize of the provincial inaugural textbook construction award for excellent textbooks (1st place). Her representative works includeA Comparative Study of Russian and Chinese Semantics (The Commercial Press) andA New Russian-Chinese Dictionary (The Commercial Press), and she has published over 20 papers in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI).
